MORDAUNT - HAMLET ✧ Metal 2025

The M O R D A U N T project created a song

In this artwork I used handmade farbes created by my friend and metallic golden farb made by my own

This song is a result of work of lot of people. Bass-guitarist ᛗ ᛁ ᛉ ᚷ ᛁ ᚱ brought the base of song, Valentin Suvorov composed the vocal line, Ivan Izotov added his ideas of guitar and keyboards parts and made mixing and sound design.

Before ᛗ ᛁ ᛉ ᚷ ᛁ ᚱ left a band where he played before and tried to create his own band. On a rehearsal one of the misicins offered to contact with a man who whote lyrics. He was calleh Father George.

Here is how ᛗ ᛁ ᛉ ᚷ ᛁ ᚱ told about this:

I wrote him in sociak network. He answered.

We strarted to talk. And one day he showed me a text by a name 'Hamlet'
And I saw how completely it does coincides: his verves and my tune.

I had an idea to make an effect of theatre play, when an actor declares his monologue from a stage

Then I met Ivan Izitiv and I came to him as a student to learn bass-guitar playing. On one lesson we desided to make a demo recordings of my ideas.

I chosed 'Hamlet' amoung my compositions. And that's how we became co-authors

I called a very good vocalist Valentin Suvorov to record vocals. He did it brilliantly

Then there came an idea to create project by a name MORDAUNT

Preparing to publish the song we tried to fing Father George. But it turned out that if he hears, he won't tell, cause he was gone in 2019 so it was an unspoken vorce of his lyrics for this song

Before painting the artwork, I wached the moovie 'HAMLET' by Franco Zeffirelli. The emotions from this film sent me to search for colour gamma for this work. A deep inspiration from actors's play and colour decision made me trying to make my best.

The artwork is devided in centre. It is a vision that goes from a book below. And a small spider reads it. ᛗ ᛁ ᛉ ᚷ ᛁ ᚱ means 'Spider' in old slavianian, so here he is.
On the left there is what ment to be: Hamlet is married Ofelia, his father is alive, everyone alive and have joy.
